Paul Mortimer

Paul is a retired professional footballer who, during a 15-year career, played Premier League football, as well as representing England. On retirement, he qualified as a coach with experience working at Chelsea, Arsenal, Wimbledon, MK Dons, Charlton, Brentford, and the Sierra Leone national side. 


Paul is an anti-discrimination tutor and educator, delivering equality and diversity education training to trainee and experienced teachers, at universities, prisons, young offender institutions, police forces and the fire service.


Starting with anti-racism charity Show Racism the Red Card, he continued this work with anti-discrimination charity Kick It Out, as their player engagement manager, delivering educational work to professional footballers, managers and coaches before starting as a freelance educator.   


He is an experienced keynote and public speaker having given talks at numerous events, aside from this Paul is a qualified Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor with a successful private practice. Paul also delivers management training as a consultant, leading inclusive leadership programs as well as equality, diversity, discrimination and inclusion training in the corporate, educational and sporting worlds.


Paul also supervises and monitors inclusive recruitment practices for the Premier league as well as mentoring Coaches and Players.
